EMSDOME Know-How

  • COVERS

    All the covers used by EMS are made from only the best quality materials carrying all the necessary approvals and certificates (accord. to DIN 4102, B1/B2, “difficult to ignite/often self extinguishing” certificate). We currently hold a range of three different covers: STANDARD – with a density of 630g/m², available in the RAL colour palette; OPAQUE – with a density of 750g/m², equipped with a black insert to keep the light out, providing a complete black-out in the dome’s interior; TRANSPARENT – with density of 600g/m², ideal for events organised in the evening where special light arrangements are used.

  • CONSTRUCTION

    The EMSDOME design is based on the structure of a geodesic dome created in the 1950’s by Mr. Buckminster Fuller, an American architect and visionary, who divided a sphere into equilateral triangles to create a light and extremely solid and stable structure. The frames used in our EMSDOME constructions are galvanized, made of steel and powder-painted. The frames are then combined using steel screws.

 

  • CASSETTE FLOOR

    Our EMSDOMEs can be supplied with a flooring system made of special aluprofiles and non-slip, watertight plywood. This flooring system allows the combination of panels in order to provide a stable floorspace. The maximum floor loading is 1.5t/m2. All utility fittings can be easily laid out to supply media to the desired areas inside our domes.

  • DOORS

    Each EMSDOME is equipped with glass and aluminium doors. Depending on the size of the dome, single or double fully equipped escape doors can be installed. A round steel door frame is easy and fast to set up, and also provides structural integrity and maintains the esthetical look.

 

  • HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING

    EMSDOMEs can be supplied with heaters or air conditioning systems to keep the temperature at the desired level inside the dome, regardless of the outside weather conditions. This technical solution brings an end to the theory that tent constructions are only seasonal objects.

  • WALKWAYS

    Our EMSDOME constructions can be inter-connected using special walkways to create an EMSDOME-VILLAGE, a complex of spherical tent constructions. More information can be found in the EMSDOME-VILLAGE bookmark section.

 

  • EMSDOME & YOUR BRAND

    The surface of the dome’s construction is a perfect space for your company’s advertisements. Your brand logo adornng the cover is sure to be highly visible, eye-catching and remain unforgettable.

  • SOUND AND LIGHTS

    EMSDOME's framework of can be used to support additional equipment (sound and lighting systems) as well as other interior design elements. The maximum ceiling framework load depends on the size of the dome and is limited to 1.5t in the EMSDOME 700!

 

  • DOME ATTACHMENTS

    Our spherical structures are held to the ground by one-metre long pins. If damage to the terrain on which the construction is set is neither permissable nor desirable, an alternative dead weight is used. One-ton 1x1 dead weights made of concrete are connected with the construction using special alloys. The dead weights are covered with the same material as the dome.
